I'm really glad to hear that. I've already e-mailed three Dodge dealers in Ottawa, and I've gotten very varied responses, one saying he hasn't heard anything from Dodge, be he assumed they would be available in spring. Another dealer told me "Sometime between June and September". I think I'll take that press release with me to my nearest 5-star dealer and see what they say.
I have to agree that price-wise, it's not a bad deal at 28000$. It seems that most cars sell for less in Canada on an equivalent currency basis, although I'm sure that that price here will exclude freight and fees in Canada.
I'm not sure about the numbers for prioduction, but if they're anything like the PT Dream Cruiser Series 2, they should be easier to get in Canada than in the US. If I remember well, they are selling 7500 Dream 2 cruisers in the US and 2000 in Canada. That means that the number of vehicles per capita is about 20 times higher in Canada. Let's hope it's the same with the SRT and I don't have too much trouble getting one.
By the way, seeing I'm new here, I'd like to say hello to everyone. I currently drive a Chevy Cavalier, and I really want something better for this summer. I hope dodge gets their act together up here soon, or I will be paying a visit to my friendly neighborhood Nissan dealer when the streets are clear of snow...
