Great run non the less its a bad ass car!!!
Yeah I already knew about the car , it is needless to say impressive but I want to see if they can back up the times when adding 200lbs and running side by side with Scott Mohler  ...either that or have Scotty drop 150-200 pounds and let him run and see what he can do.DJPlayer said:looks like you're slightly correct.. the car originally debutted as a 10 sec pure k20 type engine. It recently incorporated a k24 2.4L block using a k20 cylinder head. nevertheless, still a nice looking car w/ some crazy speed for an NA
Yep so expect high 9's with the added weight and the same setup! I am pretty sure Scott is hitting up the dyno again this week for some more tweaking, as usual conistancy seems to take the title!DJPlayer said:this is my most current list.. from about 1 month ago.. from the NA category
Jesus Padilla 1985 Mazda RX7 20B Ortiz Speed Shop 9.92 131
Leslie Durst 1998 Honda CRX B18 Trackmasters 9.93 134.99
Erick Aguilar 1995 Honda Civic Coupe B18 STR 9.99 133.95
Scott Mohler 1998 Dodge Neon 2.4L Mopar 10.00 135.89
i believe they have the car running 9.75 right now..
CURRENT record is:
NDRA: 9.99 @ 133.95MPH
NHRA is 9.92 @ 136.00MPH
RSX Skunk2 Drag Car:
engine: k20a2 head/k24a block
compression ratio: 15:1
weight with driver: 1600lbs
so to run NDRA they need to add 150lb's, thought the hard part was getting rid of the weight.. never heard of trying to make the car heavier.. oh well.. time will tell.
If you're referring to the Drag RSX. It was not originally designed for NDRA/NHRA racing. Thus why they didn't aim for the legal weight. Right now it's just a drag car that shows at certain event running the 1/4 mile. For next year depeding on revised rules and reg's they will decide whether to modify it for competition or not.SRT_USAF said:Why isn't this in other car vids?
Xworks said:i wish people didnt kind of present this car as a "well they slapped a head on a k24 block". The amount of R&D, money and time into an all motor honda running those times is crazy! Very nice ride though, and i want an adjustable rev limiter on my car!
