The one thing I miss in my SRT-4 is speed sensitive steering - our wheel is a bit touchy when we're really moving... it be nice to have a system that turns down the power assist a as the mph climbs. Has anyone found/installed a speed sensitive power steering pump or system?
my buick has magna steer, super easy one finger steering at low speed then firms up at hyway speeds, hated it and unhooked it, much better with out it, when your driving hard at low speeds and the wheel has such a light touch weird things can happen
The idea of speed sensitive steering is that as you speed increases, the power assist of the power steering backs off, and you get a better feel for the road. Currently I feel like I'm driving with mittens on at higher speeds - I can't feel the car's inertia when I try to turn the wheel.
