So i bought a srt4 a couple months ago, it ended up blowing up within 2 weeks, im thinking i had bad e85 i was doing about 140 on the highway. Started smoking bad 1-3-4 160 psi compression cylnder 2 had 0
So i pulled the block, piston 2 had about a 5% chunk missing, like almost melted.
It is stock pistons, an im debating on replacing it with a stock piston by pulling the oil pan or pulling the engine and building it (never have really messed with engine components or built one) trying to do this on a slight budget too. So i dont want to pay someone. What do you guys recommend? Is it possible to replace all pistons an rods reliably with engine in car?
My mods are
60 trim
E85
1025cc injectors
Bigger fuel pump etc

we can't answer that because we dont know what kind of damage was done. The block needs to be checked by a machinist to see how out-of-round the cylinders are. In most cases, unless there is low mileage, the cylinders will need to be bored out some. This will require the use of larger bore pistons/rings.
