now i already know the pros and cons of underdrive pulleys ..
and have driven in a car with them.. my cousins 97 avenger had them and it screwed...
anyways ...
unorthodox and aem have pulley kits for a decent price , but will they bolt up to the srt4 engine ??
is anything differant in the srt4 from a normal 2.4 that would prevent me from installing these ??

For those with HP stereo equipment: I would not opt for this.

I had problems with UD pully with the Suzuki and man, talk about problems there after with electrical and HP stereo equipment.

Base on pully size loss, amp output, stereo requirement in amps, and vehicle requirement needs to be calculated to determine if it will work properly without killing the alternator.

agred there Hemi, on my civic I started having power issues when I put the underdrive on there. With just AEM power pulleys it was fine but the Underdrive crank pulley killes the power big time!!

I had them on my 98 R/T. The pulley was alright, never had any charging problems. The install was very easy, not as hard as I thought it would be. I don't think I'd do it again though, I'd spend the money on something else.

underdrive

hey, when i had my 99 n/t eclipse w/a 420a engine... i installed the AFX ud pulley, and never had any problems....

problems will occur if you dont tighten the belts properly, dont get the pulley on all the way (so the pulleys arent lined up).....

check my site for install questions for the n/t clipse/avenger pulley ( i think the install will be very similar).. http://seangordon1.tripod.com

go to the mods link, then writeups..

Seems as though the problems were with the 02 neons reading the crank sensor at all RPM's or something like that.. Causes a Multiple Cylinder Misfire code.. All the 2k3's running the pullies are not recieving the error so I guess DC made a change to the 2k3 PCM's.. I may be able to get 1 person and AF/X pulley for test purposes.. Please email me in private.
