Try 3rd gear extender made by ago they tend the wear out causing that down shift problem I had that same issue and that fixed it. Plus make sure your shift cable bushings arnt wore out

It is definitely your synchro that is bad. If you feel comfortable doing the work it is the cheapest way.

I'm thinking about getting the extender but I'm afraid it'll be a band aid only. If I rev match it to down shift, it will go in fine but ya, so anyone know of a reliable source for getting synchros?

 

My car used to pop out almost every time I downshifted into third. The extender is just a bandaid fix. Once I installed a new clutch (act xtss) it hasn't done it once. I rarely even downshift anymore because how violent the vibrations are because of the stock tranny mount :rofl: that will be next on my list.

I see.......why is it retartedly expensive for our clutches?

 

The gear extender IMO is a band aid fix you should replace the synchro. Are you having trouble getting it in to any other gears?

 

Not really, I notice sometimes after driving for awhile, it will tough to get in to first and second will take a bit to get into but still goes in.......the fluid change I did seems to help so far but I mite drain it again and fill it with the Mobil 1 high mileage oil but I'm wondering how much synchros cost......

The hard to get in first is probably the clutch fork and pivot ball. The synchro is going to cost around 350.

 

I had same issue but when upshifting too. My 3rd gear synchro slider was bad
