from the Car Connection:

"The 300C will be priced starting at about $25,000 for a 2.7-liter V-6, going all the way up to $35,000 for a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 version."

I wonder what the standard options will be on the Hemi V8 model for $35K. Of course this is just my speculation based on available options for the top Pacifica model:

Base Price $35,950
Destination $680
Leather Seating - Included
18" Alloy Wheels - Included
All Season Tires - Included
Infiniti Stereo Speakers - included
Dual Zone Temperature Control A/C - Included
Fog Lamps - Included
AM/FM Stereo Radio with CD Player - Included

Possible Options:

Metallic Paint $890
Navigation System with GPS $1,595.00
Power Moonroof $895
Laminated Glass Doors $300.00
Six-Disc In-Dash CD/DVD Changer $555.00
Wheels - 18" Aluminum, Chrome Clad $750.00
Full-Size Spare Tire $160.00
High-Intensity Discharge Headlamps $500.00
Heated Seat Group $500
UConnect Hands-Free Communication $275.00
Infinity Intermezzo 5.1 Digital Sound System $700.00
Engine Block Heater $35.00
Satellite Radio System Prep. $35.00

My guess on tire is probably a 245/50/18 or 235/50/18 all season touring "comfortable" type tire. I would prefer a 245/45/18 tire.

The base prices are reasonalbe but fully optioned cars will run over $40k.

I have found in general that most "Salesmans" know little...

...Car Enthusiast like us usually know more. :D

That would be great if that is true. However, that would not be in line with similar pricing for any other Daimler-Chrysler product. Especially, the way they price Mercedes-Benz products. The Base price is low to get you in the showroom and then the extensive list of options and the options prices takes the car into the Stratosphere.:(

Since I will be in the market for a Dodge Magnum Hemi V8 I hope they could include all or most of those options in that $35k price also. But since this is a Daimler-Chrylser product - the cheapest Mercedes to get DVD Navigation standard is the 2004 ML500 with a base price of $46,470. You have to move up to the S500 for $82,700 to get HID Xenon headlamps standard. You have to spend at least $110k for a 2004 S55 AMG just to to get the CD Changer standard at Mercedes.

If they include options like Nav, CD Changer and HID in that $35k price I will be floored!:D

Auto123 website: Also available in the spring of 2004, production versions of the 300C (see 2003 Chrysler 300C Concept in archives) and Dodge Magnum (see 2003 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 Sports Tourer Concept in archives) LX cars were displayed too, up high and out of reach unfortunately, but an AWD option was announced. These are said to be priced directly at Toyota Camry and Honda Accord competitors, with similar features, which should put base models in the $30,000 range.
