Set up a friendly race between a couple friends.

I am videoing. We put in a passenger in the Cobra. Weight of combined passengers is about 375lbs in both cars. So passengers is not a factor.

2004 SRT-4

And I am sure there is more that I am missing.
380whp(Pre-TB&IM) on HOM

Both runs were from about a 60 roll. Again the Stage 3 is on HOM and holding it all the way through.

I don't know what to say about that video but I have taken out a few 03/04 cobras with a little more power than that one with the DCR S3 @ 370whp! Strange??

I would say driver somehow sucked or the cars weren't running right.

that srt-4 driver knows how to drive as well. anything is possible at track.

what were you running at track with 370fwhp?

power to weight ratio my friend....as well as unless you have seen their dyno sheet and yours is completly dyno tuned theirs no way to fully know "how much you have"...not saying he can or cant beat it, theirs just a lot of variables

stage 3 with the bigger wheel/and port are nasty

As for the video.... does the Stage 3 driver have a S3 WGA or a S3 AGP WGA?

Also 40 roll would help the srt as well, not 60. Good races.

Thankyou I don't know why people think that 03/04 cobra are unbeatable? A SRT with a fast spooling turbo and nice power band will beat a 450+ whp cobra. It does not take 450whp in an SRT to beat a 450whp car that is 3600+lbs!!

I have not lost to a cobra yet and this has been witnessed!! I'm not trying to start a SRT vs cobra thing again but if that SRT really had 380whp at the time vs the cobra at 450 he would have won the race. Look at the speedo, HOM on S3 thats running good pulls much harder than that:readclose

Is that stage 3 on DAB 1? Doesn't look like its pulling like any of the stage 3 cars I've seen before....

i am the owner of that cobra. my car put down 455-478rwhp just a week a go with running rich (A/F at 10.6)

i ran [email protected] on 2000ft D/A with very easy launch only 1.7-1.8 60'. at the air we raced yesterday, if i would have run at track, i would have been around 11.6 -11.5 around 121+mph. with more aggressive launch

so what does 380fwhp stage 3s run at track normally?

from a 40mph roll, I would have been way more ahead due to my instant torque. I personally do not like 60mph roll races. it is already too fast but thats what the driver wanted and we couldn't slowdown on the express way.

check my dynosheet out and check the torque curve and see!

did u go get dynoed again to get 450whp, kuz i could have sworn u just dynoed at 340 smthn at the wheels a week and a half ago?

me? I never dynoed 340. even stock i dynoed 370rwhp. I guess you are talking about somebodyelse.

my car put down 425rwhp and then i put midpipe and catback now it puts down 455rwhp.

Not bad!! Here is mine, basic bolt on S3 22psi and this was before my cams FnF 44lb wheel upgrade, ported turbo and mani . This was all under controll of the S3 ECU no tune!! Time slip was my 1st time out with S3 on the stock slipping clutch.
Now from a 40roll is where my S3 shines because I'm right in the meat of my power band. I have not had one cobra in the 450-490 whp range jump out on me. Full spool on S3 is @ 3200 and now with the FnF set up it's 3000. I'll see if I can find my last dyno sheet with the cams and huge boost leak, power was about the same but alot more topend and smoother power band. The new setup will break 400whp on pump with the same power band and I'm hopping for traps in the area of 126-128 :thumbsup:

Kalvin I do not know where you got 340whp.

I put down 366whp 365tq down stock in my Cobra.

I am pretty sure he just has the stock stage 3 wastegate.

But as far as his car not running right. I do not think so. His car has trapped 118-119 in the 1/4. I have been in alot of stage 3 cars, I mean alot. The one that raced Doodad yesterday is said to be the fastest. All the other stage 3's cannot pull his stage 3.(Though there are a few he hasn't raced)

I have gotten a ride in Doodad's car, not one stage 3 feels as fast. There is no replacement for displacement.

Also I was bone stock, and I was racing stage 3's. On HOM they would pull me. But off HOM on the highway we were dead locked. And at the track off HOM it was a drivers race.
My Cobra ran [email protected], the other stage 3's best were [email protected] and [email protected]. I lose MPH on the 3-4 shift.

And I can drive no where near as good as doodad. Not every day you get to see a mustang shoot flames.:eeeek:

J-SRT4's...he and i have done the work on the car so its not like hes taken it to some joe schmoe shop to have it done. Between my garage and his garage...the car is where its at now. When the new clutch is broken in and we get it dialed in fuel wise we'll have to post up new numbers, new slips and obviously some vids of some FASTER terminators running the car
