Thanks for the great write-up and pics. This was posted a while ago, but I bet there's a lot of people with 5-7 year old factory speakers that need this info about now.

Thanks! Some kid side-swiped my car. Needs a new driver side mirror. Ordered off eBay for $40. I will be using your write-up this weekend to swap it out. Much appreciated, still.. in 2019.

Like some exiting forums how-tos with picture still in place, I also want want to express my appreciation for this simple writeup.

I've done this few times years ago. Then going through it again years later, I was back to super duh (not knowing how to go about it to install new side mirrors, window moldings, and MPx handle brackets). So this simple write-up was very helpful, especially that I'm a little worried now about not easily finding little parts that break in the process (like that padding under the handle which is no longer as pliable/flexible as it was new--cracked mine a little thinking I knew how to do all this stuff; dont ask. So I went back to this write up). This was last week (yeah, 2019).

No car. Searching... Found it!

Glad to see this write-up.
My English Bulldog got locked in the car one hot day.
Wailed on the driver side windows with a ball pein hammer trying to get him out.
Windows wouldn't budge!
Fire truck finally arrived and jimmied the door lock open in 10 seconds.
Been meaning to fix it for several years.
But it's also cool to have a war story in memory of my beloved Walley Bubba
