This may be a stupid question, but does this render the Mopar toys useless now? The HOM would likely still work but would DAB? I'm assuming if DAB did still work it would cap the max boost.

Remeber the 4th in those autos are weak. I recently asked Duster to see if he could lower the boost just in my 5th gear for highway use and not effect the BPG in the other gears. As usual Duster got it to work ,now my 5th is he same as 2nd gear. May want to see if this can be done to save the tranny life.

I haven't specifically tested DAB affect on BbG but this is how it should "work":

The PCM should use the LOWEST desired Torque.
If, for example, 2nd Gear is only 300Nm, DAB0 will kill ALL torque and will take precedance so boost will be only as high as the wga spring allows.

DAB1/2 will all be some scalar multiple of the Desired Torque table which values will be higher than 300Nm at WOT. In these cases, BbG's lower 2nd gear Torque of 300Nm should take precedance but DAB1/2 higher boost in 3/4/5 will act as normally.

DAB3 may actually wipe out all Torque limits for Gear, MPH, RPM, Coolant temp, ect. In this case DAB3 will run high boost in all gears/speed. But like I said, I haven't specifically tested it.

Right,,I should be able to lock down the max boost level just when in overdrive as a safty measure.

You say wipe out all torque limits but it should't affect/override the tune even if it's set to higher boost then stock DAB level right?

If not then it gets really interesting. DAB2 with your BbG and DAB3 for slicks.

Thats what I'm thinking.
But like I said, I haven't specifically tested it.

This spring you want to give it a shot?
The only thing i would have to do is put a softer spring in the waste gate and hook the wires on the solenoid back up.
