510 13b getting ready

This our group's little project right now. At one point in its like it was just a run of the mill 510. It evolved eventually into a rotary powered NA runner. Then morphed into a high boost 400whp undrivable monstar. Since then the owner Carlos has now built a high compression low boost 13b for it. It has lots of little secrets and goodies. From the outside it looks like a clean little 510. No IC can be seen. Thats because it has a custom made water/air IC thats hiding under the engine bay.

We are not so much into drag racing, more time attack which it what we are trying to set the car up for. This is its first trip to the dyno to get tuned. This little short pass right here was only to 5.5k. put down 220 hp and 200 ft lbs of torque. If you know anything about rotary engines, 5.5k is not even waking up the engine.

Our goal is for it to be a very SAFE 300whp that can take a beating. The engine is over built and could very easily put down maybe double that so its gonna be tough getting the numbers that low, we may settle for 350 range but that starts to get very undrivable in such a light short wheel base car.

Take a look, more to come soon.
