Mexicali is a somewhat boring city, its hot like hell in summer and very cold in winter, but there is a bull fighting arena, and some off road races, in the other hand, other bigger cities have much to offer, like Guadalajara, Tijuana, Mexico DF, Cancun Acapulco...
IMHO, Sex its great with mexican girls. About liquors, like everywhere...there are places with cheaper prices. A very good tequila, like DON JULIO or CORRALEJO will cost about 35 - 40 US Dollars a bottle.
Just move out to the southwestern US.Anywhere in California,Texas,Nevada,Arizona,New Mexico and you are in occupied territory now occupied by Mexico.You wont even need a passport.I would suggest buying a program to learn spanish though as we no longer speak english out here.
