Cirrus 2.4 L Turbo - SRT Forums

Hola que tal, soy nuevo por aqui y no ecnuentro donde poner esta pregunta que tengo.

Alguien me podria decir si el motor del cirrus 2.4L Turbo High Output es el mismo que el del Neon SRT 4??

He tratado de buscar partes para el cirrus pero nadie vende, solo venden para el srt.

Ando buscando subirle un poquito el caballaje, asi que cualquier sugerencia es bien recibida. Soy bien nuevo en esto asi que expliquenmelo como si fuera un nino. Gracias.

My question is: I have a Cirrus 2.4 L turbo, in USA this car is called Sebring, but in the USA it wasn't released with turbo.
The numbers of this engine are almost the same as the Neon SRT 4. 230 hp, 225 lbs. torque.
I want to know if this engine is the same as the Neon SRT.

And im looking to increase the boost a little bit, just to get a little more hp, but without messing too much with the car.

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure it IS the same engine.

I am sure you can get a Boost controller (greddy EBC or MBC) to increase boost...But you will need something to control fuel as well...Exhaust mod will give HP, CAI, Porting etc...

To find out for sure take your question to the Technical forum or try google like was suggested

Hey, thanks. I've done a little research and i found out that it is kind of the same engine.
And about the mods i don't wanna mess with the boost until i get to know this cars well. I would go for a better exhaust system, high performance ignition wires and plugs, a better oil, maybe royal purple, and thats it.

yo creo ke si son muy similares y asta alomejor identicos. porque de ese carro sacaron ideas para aser el srt4. lo ke puedes aser para ke responda poko mejor es ponerle un filtro de aire redondo para que resuelle mejor. tambien abrirle el escape. busca un boost controller en google y como ponerselo. y tambien seria buena idea ponerle un calibrador que marque boost o la presion ke le esta entrando al motor. es recomendable ke no suba la presion a mas de 15 psi sin tener con que regularle la gas que le entra al motor. si tienes mas preguntas aslas y tratare de responder lo mas detallado posible y lo mas pronto posible tambien. mi nombre es edgar

Ah Ok. Gracias. Creo que en eso del boost no me voy a meter, no quiero andar batallando de que esta sobreboosteando, y esas cosas.
Pues traigo el filtro k and n de repuesto (el drop in) y ando viendo a ver que muffler le pongo.
Si tengo mas preguntas las posteo en el Foro de modificaciones.

Que tal Hijole, soy uno de los administradores de Dodge Performance Club en Dodge Performance Club y de hecho tengo un SRT-4, te puedo decir que el motor del cirrus y el stratus R/T turbo 2.4 lts de segunda generacion, es decir los modelos del 2001 al 2006 si tienen un motor muy similar al del nsrt4, de hecho los modelos High Output son practicamente lo mismo a excepcion de la admision, multiple de escape y el turbo, este ultimo en los stratus y cirrus tienen propela 15g y el nsrt4 me parece que es 16g que es un poco mas grande y gira al reves que como gira el turbo de los stratus y cirrus.

Fuera de eso las diferencias son minimas.

Muchas Gracias Starman por la informacion tan detallada.
Me da gusto saber que mi motor tiene tantas similitudes que el de un nsrt4.
Se que los NSRT-4 son muy buenos carros y tienen bastante potencial.
Lo que no me gusta es la transmision automatica de 4 velocidades que no ayuda mucho en el desempeño del auto. En fin.
