Default Will the 2-Step limiter come on during WOT Shifting?

I'm getting close to installing my MSD DIS-2 & I was thinking. Will the 2 step interfere with the WOT Shifting?

Think about it, on the launch the clutch is engaged & the throttle is floored. During a WOT shift the clutch is engagued & the throttle is floored. I'd hate to hit the 2 step limited when trying to shift?

Is there a way to make the 2 step only work in 1st gear?

you should have a momentary contact switch to activate the 2 step.although it may help you if it did work that way.cutting ignition with the dis between shifts would only help the input shaft to slow down enough to make a smoother shift

on a side note, if you push the switch it will activate no matter what gear you're in, so watch your placement.

Ohh, So I have to run a switch or button from the engine bay to the cockpit somewhere. Make it so when I push the button it connects the circuit (blue wire) to activate the 2 step. I hadn't thought of doing that.

Basically I could just push & hold it down to activate the 2 step, then when WOT shifting it won't activate as long as I don't push the button. is that correct?

Where have you guys mounted the button?

So do you have to reach up & turn it off after you launch?

i used a momentary switch where when you push the buttom it is on the second you let off the button it is off, would be best if you could get a shify knob that had a push button arleady in it. i dont know if you need to have two hands on the wheel to launch i never did.

Here's what I found in the DIS-2 How to thread.

It looks like a lot of work to take the stearing wheel off & wire it up this way. It would be pretty simple to use though.

The horn is not too bad of an idea. I really like to have my left hand on the wheel & the other on the shifter when I launch. Trying to push down the horn would be about the same as holding up the e-brake in my book.

I wonder if there's a way to use the wireless greddy profec hi/lo boost switch to do the same. I don't really use it right now? I can easily hold it down with one hand on the wheel too!

This way I wouldn't have to remove the steering wheel. I'm sure the wires that go from the wireless receiver to the back of the EBC unit could be wired into the DIS-2? Heck what do I know, I'm not the greatest with electronics Anybody else
