Default Wideband A/F issue

I installed an Innovate Wideband LC-1 and gauge 5 days ago. It worked fine for 2 days, reading @ 14.6 across the board. Today I turned on the car and the needle went through it's little test phase as it does during each startup, but pegged at 18. I know the car is not running this lean. The needle is acting very randomly, for example when I GENTLY tap the gas at a stop light, it will go all the way to 1 and back to 18. Any suggestions? Thanks.

is that the reading from LW or from a gauge? Open LM prog and make sure its setup for gasoline and the outputs are correct for what you need

It's the gauge reading. It read fine for a few days, and when I picked it up from the paint shop it's pegged at 18.

Aside from kicking ass lol, any idea what the problems could be? I've heard a possible exhaust leak so far... other than that I'm stuck as to what to look for.

Where are your grounds located for the wideband? Should be 4 of them...if you have them all in separate spots that's a bad idea. Make sure your grounds are all tied to one terminal, and on a GOOD ground. Lots of guys use bad grounding locations for this. I used a bolt on the head and never had an issue after that. Mine used to do the same thing yours is doing.

I'm not sure. I cut the wires that were the ground for my narrowband (installed when I purchased the vehicle) and soldered all the grounds from the wideband to this ground. I will look into it though. Thanks for the tip.

make a new ground for the LC-1 dont splice into the crappy stock grounds. I would say grounding is the number 1 issue with these.

If you have a laptop, connect to LM programer and make sure its setup correctly.
