Default Whats the best wideband for beginners

Just as title i wanna tune my 50 trim but not sure which wideband to go with. Looking at the lm-1 as i can datalog on my laptop. I'd rather be able to see tables of my af so i can change just the spots that are bad.

Have a look at the lc-1 i have one i am about to install. Its not as bulky as the lm-1 and you can run a gauge off of it, and hook it up to your lap top. Just be very carefull hooking it up, you need good grounds!

What fuel management are you planning on using? If you plan on using the DTEC, then the TurboXS Tuner might be a good choice. It plugs into the DTEC for some extra usefullness, but can still be used by itself. Its a little more expensive (about $350) and honestly the display is not exactly eye candy like the AEM UEGO.

Default Lc-1

You guys that are using the LC-1 what do you mean by good grounds? I installed the LC-1 last weekend and the damn thing couldn't read right at all. Not so sure why but trying to rule out as many things as possible. Any help would be appreciated. Although I am sending it back this weekend just trying to figure out what the hell could have gone wrong.

They can be tricky little things. but you need a very good ground for the unit hopefuly the heater beside the one with all the other wires that need to be grounded from it but not the same post because on the same post there will start to be a bit of a ground off set from corrosion and then if the heater ground was going through there it would try to ground through the ground into the lc-1. As for the wiring in the srt 4 the stock o2 sensor has a newtral ground and you have to conect two wires if you want to run the ecu with the lc-1 one is for a sensor positive and one is for negative and leave the other two conected to the stock o2 sensor so the ecu will see the heater ground and not trip a error code! then make sure you program the analog outputs properly (eg i think the stock 02 puts out 2.5-3.5 volts. I hope all of this helped.

Wow sorry but that was a bit to technical for me. What I'm doing is a weld for another O2 Sensor that came with the LC-1 and then running all the wires to my Autometer gauge not a dynotune gauge. Everything is separate from the other O2 sensors. So basically what your saying is stay away from other grounds b/c they are quite sensitive. I also think you said one of the grounds shouldn't be hooked to another ground. I know kind of what your referring to but all my instructions said that should be just fine. I think they differ between gauges.

I recommend soldering ring terminals onto the ground wires so you know you have a solid connection and solder the hot wires in place as well. You will not get good readings on the gauge if don't have solid connections. You also have to do the calibrations as specified in the manual. Good luck.
