Default what voltage value = what O2 value

my logger is gonna log A/F by voltage, does anyone know on the stock O2 sensor what the voltage to O2 conversion is.

I was wondering the same thing! The DRB at my dealership reads o2 voltage but not a/f ratio.

dont tune off of a stock 02 sensor, or any narrowband o2 sensor. get a wideband if you want to be able to properly tune your car or know if your rich or lean.

i appreciate your input, but, if the ecu can run its algorithims basaed off of that stock sensor, it has some value, im not looking for hardcore tuning, i just wanna know if i am going to hurt something, as i said my laptop logger logs volts not value

The voltage range for the SRT 02 sensor is 2.5 to 3.5. I was not able to make any sense of it as it doesn't compare to a 0-1volt system on most other cars.

Good Luck.

the o2 sensor still responds in a 0-1 volt pattern, NGC bias the ground @ 2.5 volts for diag purposes. if u know the 0-1 pattern, just add 2.5 to it.
I believe 0 = lean & 1 = rich.

Well if you want some 0-1v associations with afr here is what I used to do and many older TD guys use.

.99-97v = pig rich and slowing you down
.96-93v = safe
.93-90v = perfect on 93 octane
.90-.87v= race gas/alky time

Here is a video of my dyno pull from last year with a Mopar Perf 0-1v 02 sensor hooked up to a gage I made.

http://thedarkroom.us/jason_pics/marion_dyno/vid4.mov

It's showing .96 volts at very hi boost but if you look you will see the little green light, that means I'm spraying alky too so that richens the afr some.

Hope this helps.

Marion

So running 94+ octane is should shoot for .90 volts? Just making sure thanks for the breakdown. I'm going to use the DRB where i work and try tuning it in probably on sat. at our local airport flashlight drags

That would depend when you were at .89 v and at .93v in the rpm range. My "guess" is that at 13 psi you are ok. If the leanness is early in the rpm range then things are most likely ok.

From what I could tell on my car these are some of my observations. I think stoich is around .650 volts, rich on my stage 2 seems to be .920 to .940, and it starts running lean around .880 and lower. I can't relate the volts to any specific air fuel number but you can extrapolate it a bit. Most people say our cars run around 10:1 at the rich end which would be .940 on my car, and stoich is around 14:1 which appears to be .650 volts. If anyone has some direct info I'd love to see it too, understanding that narrow bands aren't as accurate.

It's funny how people are going to make tuning decisions that could have devistation effects based on bias information . . .

Get a wideband.

It's old school but not necessarily funny nor biased. WB's are realtively new to personal owners and particualrly in a car as a standalone. So you use what is there. I've had 02 meter in cars for years and if you do not try to set a "point" but a range you are ok. Thats why so many TD users have EGT gages.

FYI,
