cuz if that will work its cheaper then a clamp and a wideband <although the wideband will be handy later down the road>

and will the mx300 wideband work without a stand alone?

it sais it works with any stand alone engine management but doesnt say if it will work without one hehe let me know what you guys/gals think

ok did some more reading and i guess the turbo fuel cut defender is a map clamp..... so would i still have to tune it on the dyno to get the right air fuel ratio??

that is correct. still need to get wideband readings for proper tuning.

i like the FCD because it's designed to be ran into the cockpit. it can also be set from inside the car without a multimeter. you set your boost to the desired clamp level. for example, set you boost to 15psi. then make slight adjustments till the blue led on the fcd comes on. then you know your clamp is set to 15psi. then get to the dyno and up your boost and watch the afr.

i think it's far more expensive than other map clamps. the SS VC2 is ~$80 and homemade ones from dasmopar and aaron are ~$30-40.
