Default Tuning Questions

So i just bought a DSP and i am going to be tuning my car soon...is there any complications or anything to be careful of when doing so? I know it comes with the 93 octane tune, but i run 91 octane so i will have to modify it a bit i assume? And i was told about dangers if i tune it to lean or to rich? Any input would be great, Thanks!

you may have some lean issues with the 93 tune as it is. 91 will not help at all with the increased timing of the tune. make sure you have a wideband before you do anything.

Older 93 tune don't add ANY timing, it actually removes 1-2 degrees.
Te new one in crom 9r18 adds a little below 3500rpm but still removes the 1-2 degrees up top

"Normal" A/F would be around 11.5-11.8 trending up to about 12.0-12.5 at redline.

Since you only have 91, you need to datalog Knock and adjust accordingly, keep the A/F above 11.5 though
