what were your dyno number before and after? did you have it tuned right? it makes NO sence to pull a clamp off and run better unless your car likes to drown in fuel....it MIGHT have been clamped to much and was to lean and pulling timing like a mofo....whats your afr now compaired to then????

Exactly, you had it clamped too lean and were getting to much knock, pulling to much timing to keep it safe. I'm willing to bet you didn't put it on a dyno or use a wideband to tune, you just set it to a certain voltage and figured it'd be good. The safc is a good tuning tool and can work great by itself. A clamp works well by itself also. together they work very well. If it works better without the clamp, your tuning wasn't good at all. Sorry. If you can prove otherwise, do so.

My A/F's were read with AEM UEGO, and they were always in the high 11's to high 12's. I never got my car dynoed and I never got my timing logged so maybe my timing was getting pulled, whatever that means since no one on these forums seems to know.....Acctually I would'nt say the car pulls way harder with without map clamp, more like it feels exactly the same with or with out it, IMO only way left to go is with big turbo. for me MAP clamp turned out not to be the mearical everyone claims it is

EDIT: acctually I would'nt say feels the same. It depended on what car felt like doing that day...some days it would spin tires like crazy and others it would just feel like stock so I dont know what thye fuck to say it was'nt always in the high 12's guys....WOT was always low 12's.
What the hell are we talking about when we say timing anyways???? ignition spark timing?? cam timing???...........at natty's I remember ethan saying somthing along the lines of "timing haveing nothing to do with this car" but what ever.

High 11's to high 12's it too lean you want 11.3-11.7 to be safe. High 12's like 12.5-.13 are engine killing numbers. And its not a miracle, just IF TUNED RIGHT it can give you extra horsepower.

some people just think they know everything............there is NO way the mapclamp will make you run slower unless YOU did something wrong, or your tunning was all jacked

yeah unless your running w/i stay away from 12's on your a/f numbers....you WILL see 15/20 WHP with a clamp in my case it was 19WHP and that wasent even with my w/i and a/f was 12.2 or lower at all times...
