Default Stock/autometer gauge ?'s

How accurate is the stock tach?

How accurate is the stock water temp?

Are autometer gauges all 0-5v?

Which would be better, oil pressure or oil temp?

The stock temp gauge is very good, I've seen a picture around here somewhere showing a stock gauge and an aftermarket water temp gauge and they were pretty much spot on.

I think the stock tach is very close as well, I've revved it out to the 6240 limiter and the tach is right where it should be, same with the S2 6500 redline. The stock tach lags very little if any IMO.

I just bought a SRT/autometer oil pressure gauge and volt meter gauge, I wish they had a matching SRT/autometer oil temp gauge. Monitoring the engines oil seems like a good idea, especially when running it hard at the track.

Thank you much.

What is the output on al the autometer sensors, within 0-5v range?

What is the output voltage on the stock water temp sensor?

And you think both temp and press? I can only datalog one so tryin to decide which one to get.

I'm not sure what the volt ranges are for stock gauges, but autometer electrical gauges have there own sending units which are different than what the stock sending units use. Whether they are 0-1v or 0-5v I have no idea.

IMO the oil pressure gauge is more important than oil temp because you can monitor water temp and extrapolate from that what your oil situation is, if your water temp is too high you know right now that your oil is cooking too.

Monitoring oil pressure is important, you will know right a way if something is wrong if you have a catastrophic loss in pressure.
