Default Simple MAP clip question

Sorry for the basic question, but i can't find the simplified answer. No i don't yet have am SRT4, but am hoping the right trade comes along soon. And i'd like a better understanding of a common mod. When using a map clamp to change fuel trims, doesn't that change timing curves as well? i know it does on all other cars i can think of. But see very little timing discussion by SRT4 owners.

all ECU's will try and use a base timing curve for the given boost level. If conditions look favorable to the ECU it'll increase timing...conditions don't look favorable...reduce timing.

That's basically how things work with just a MAP clamp.

Thanks man. So do most SRT4 owners not tune timing? Or is that a new aspect with the SCT's release?
