no man you must tune both maps the same with the portfueler. a map is for one set of injectors and b map is for the other set. if both are not tuned (copy and paste map a to b) the other cyclinder will go lean and pop the motor.

Default RE:portfueler timing tuning

So whatever I have on map A, should be copied and pasted over to map B? That's what it was like stock, but there's upgraded injectors in place of the factory, plus the portfueler and a stage 2 ECU. So that is making it difficult to get the short and long term fuel trims to cancel each other out. And the real problem is that the ignition advance is in the high teens! how am i going to get all that down? Just fuel tuning?

yes you have to copy and past maps to match each other. like i said before man if you don't your motor will blow . my boy poped his first motor due to that. i have tuned portfuelers and thats how its done.

portfueler will run aggressive timing on pump because the map clamp is set at one voltage 4.2v (which is very low). you have to run race gas or w/i if you want to run 18+psi on the portfueler.

I thought the portfueler fuel mapper was set at 3.96V which is about 13.5 psi?

In theory you can use an adjustable map clamp and adjust your timing by letting the computer see more boost.

i believe hahn has two map clamp settings one for 20g kit and one for 16g kit. Even the clamp ^ you posted is still unsafe for pump. will cause too much knock.

That is interesting that you said that. I never really had a problem with knock until I installed my fuel mapper aka. map clamp from Hahn. Since then I have had to turn the boost down to avoid knock.

I talked with Hahn's technical staff and they said I would blow my car up w/o the fuel mapper because my cause would freak out when it saw the 24 lbs I was running.

I am confused now. I do have knock and know I could just pop this thing without being careful but how could they sell me something that actually messes my car up.
