the monitor to my e-01 was stolen from my car. if i bought the non-profec e-01 kit, can i take the monitor from that and use it with what i have left frm my original e-01 kit?

yes, it will work. The only problem you may run into is an update error code if the firmware of the card, screen, and control box does not match. But all in all, it will still work.

i just found out the cards are completely different.........dammit!!!!!!!!

how are the cards "completly different", they should be the same SD card. You'll need to get the data from an E-01 unit transffered to the SD card you have now.

this who i tried. hector sent me to him. we he replied back to me he said it wouldn't work be cause of the card. the only way to copy the card is though linux. so.....i don't know.

yeah, mohdparts are great but I would try ot get ahold of Benny at Greddy USa and see what he says. I would think they are the same with just the controller being in the card, do you have anyone local with the profec E-01? Maybe you could just swap out cards and try there's?

The cards are the same, but the version firmware is different. Again, it will work. When you turn on the e-01 it will ask you to update. If you select YES, then it will give you an error code (possibly communication error). What you want to do is choose NO for everything and back out (menu button) of all screens until your able to select display. It's works normal from there. The only drawback is that it will ask you to update everytime you turn the car off. Just don't attempt to update.
