HEY GUYS I HAVE BOUGHT THIS A LONG TIME AGO off ebay AND i did not know this unit needed harness. Well now i have a sacf II unit without wiring harness. What can i do? Is it still workable? Can i get the harness somewhere else if so where? i will post pict in just a min
What did you think it was battery powered?!?!?!?
Look for the manufacture and model on the unit..Call said manufacture. Let them know your model number. Then order the harness and all necessary parts........
i called apexi they said that i will have to buy a harness from them and somehow solder the wires together. does this make sense? is there any other way to do this?
Dude. I hate to say it, but it looks like your screwed...Looks like the unit was stolen, by the way the lines are cut. I would just buy a whole new one......
Correct me if im wrong, but that is a SAFC, not an SAFC II... Also, im not sure about on the SAFC, but on the SAFC II you do not need a wiring harness... Just extend the lines with regular wire...
They dont make a wiring harness for our cars. Those safc's need to be wired/soldered into the cars wiring near the pcm.
Get some wire and a soldering gun and extend the wires about 8 feet. Make sure you label the new wires with the same coloring code. Then go to the How To section and search for the SAFC thread and install it.
By the way, that thing was surely stolen, and I'm sure before they cut it, they yanked on it as hard as possible to get more slack, fucking up the connections inside.
^^^ Does the original safc does the job just like the others ?
Yeah it'll work. If I'm not mistaken though it only stores 1 map whereas the safc2 stores 2? Someone correct me if I'm wrong there. As far as tunable points I believe they both have the same.
Well like I said I think that's really the only difference. I'm not 100% sure though that it only does hold 1. Hopefully someone else will chime in for you.
