Default Msd Dis-2 HELP?

ok so i bought a msd dis-2 and went to put it on wired it all up went to start the car and all it did was crank crank crank crank then a loud backfire. so i took the wires off and pluged the orginal wires back and tryed to start the car and it wont do anything the fuel pump wont prime the car wont even turn over. i checked all the fuses and the battery they are fine. can someone please help?

did you drain the battery while trying to start it? Also the dis-2 is probably bad. I just had this happen to me with my Dis-4. Look in the instruction manual and look at the troubleshooting codes for the dis-2

we tryed to jump start the car it still wont do anything and we took the dis-2 off and stilll wont do anything?

This might sound silly but did you make sure you hooked up the coil plug back on? I had that happen to me once. Are you getting any cel codes?

yea we bought the harness so we didnt have to splice into the coil wires so after it all happened we took it off and pluged the stock wire plug right back into the coil. no CEL...i have a stage one so i normaly have codes but no you turn the key on and do the little check and it shows none.
