Default MAP clamp wired wrong?

Hey guys, I installed my clamp a few weeks ago and I couldn't get it to work at all. I pulled it apart and this is what I saw:

The wire colors from the screw goes as follows: Black - Red - Green.

After referencing the how-to thread, the diagram looks like this:

Based off of that info, does that mean that MY:

Black wire gets spliced into the map sensor 5v wire
Red wire gets spliced into the map sensor signal wire
Green wire gets spliced into the map sensor ground wire

That look right??

Any other suggestions?

Thanks guys!

I thought I'd elaborate for CStyles...I used my scan gauge and it seemed to work the opposite direction of your typical MAP clamp (e.g. clamp at anything below a set voltage).

As we cranked it the MAP with the engine at idle the mmHg would climb from 18 to 17 and you can watch the air/fuel start to richen up because the increase in mmHg and when you reached 10mmHg it'd stumble like hell and eventually stall the engine if you went higher. So it seemed like as you increased the clamp it'd cut into the negative end of the ECU's reading range and not the positive end.

I mean we turned the car off and left the ignition on and as we turned the MAP clamp you can watch the mmHg climb...I brought it to as high as 5.6psi and if you tried turning the ignition no dice the car wouldn't turn over since it was trying to dump so much f'in fuel

We tried reversing the two wires to no avail...

Figured you left out some important details there...

PERSONALLY I'd just buy a new potentiometer

I'm already thinking he put black to black lol...

What made DasMopar think of having a black wire not match up with a black wire...

no need to take it personally I'm just laughing at how the wiring schematic is setup that's ridiculous.
