Knock retard, stock srt-4

I got 4.5 degrees of knock retard once, usually I get 1-2 though. I've tried on many different tanks of 91 too. Which is weird because I haven't messed with the boost or fuel or anything yet. My power mods consist of exhaust and BFMIC.

1) Question is, how worried should I be about this? since the pcm is pulling back timing to keep knock down it should still be safe right?

2) Also what is a good octane booster?

3) Also I do have mount inserts and and no balance shafts, do you think that could have an affect? I kind of think not because I don't get KR in 1st gear which I think has less boost than the other gears, that makes me think it might actually have knock, but on second thought why would a stock srt-4 have KR? So I don't know.

I guess I need to put higher octane in and see what happens but I haven't had time lately and wanted to get some input

Yes stock cars can have KR. Mopar engineers have said on here what is considered to be acceptable as far as KR. I believe the number was at least 3 KR was considered acceptable by them but I cant remember exactly. I have heard of stock cars seeing as high as 6 KR.

If you really want to get rid of it, for your setup meth injection would work great.

Turn my bone stock levels of boost down? Don't think so, I'll try some higher octane next, need a good octane booster since the highest offered is 91. Thanks for the info
