Under 1.5-2Kr is ok in my book.

Does that pos gauge show both Long Term and Short Term Knock retard?

No not fuel trims, Knock retard. There's a Short tem and Long term knock retard.

St knock could be 0, but LT could be 6 degrees. The only way to clear LT knock is to disconnect the battery.
