Knock...need help quick for track

Getting knock when I used to never get any. I have rechecked everything. I am running around 28.8psi max (most of pulls are 27.8-28.2) and right around 4800rpms to about 5200rpms in 4th gear ONLY with AFRs around 11.4 and timing around 26 to 27 degrees at that point. I am running 100% meth injection on 2 M5 nozzles which gives me around 104octane effective.

I need help from guys like nigel and aaron who have run my size turbo (D55) around this boost and timing to get a sense if I am getting false knock or if I am near my threshold for knock. turbo666, i know you run a gt30r around 30psi on meth injection, can you help out? I need a real honest answer about what kind of timing you guys typically run, if you could give me a rough estimate of your curve (where timing is at 3000rpms and what it is at 6500rpms) i would greatly appreciate it.

I do get about .5 to 1.0* of knock in 3rd in the same spot, and about 2-2.5* in 4th in the same spot.

Help guys, need it quick, trying to dial it in at this psi. Also worth noting, knocks almost identically at 26psi as it does at 28psi.

^^ i will but unfortunately I am running against a time crunch to really get this tuned in, I wont have much time to add race gas and test it out. I will try though.

But to my original request, can one of the tuning gurus give me a sense of their timing curves?

with ur boost and ur timing i dont see why its knocking that hard, thats why i said try some race gas, if all the knock goes away then its real knock and adjust/tune for it, but if all the knock stays, then u know its something else.

Damn dude, you dont think 29psi and 28* of timing on a 55lb turbo is a lot?? LOL. But I see your point, in another thread someone enlightened me to spark plugs possibly, so I am going to try that first.

no because ive seen over 30 degrees and even to 36 ish on a 60-1 on similar boost. thats why i said to try the easiest thing first... gas. then id re-tq theknock sensor, then try colder plugs with a smaller gap, then go from there.

problem is with the plugs, race gas will get rid of spark plug related knock too. So plugs first, then race gas.

Changed plugs to 4306 gapped at .030, dropped knock to a MAX of around 1.5* even with the MUCH cooler temps (45* this morning) and leaner AFR, around 11.9. Goes to show iridiums + meth is not always a great idea.

I tweaked the meth to come on full more around 19psi (from 22psi before) and start spraying around 9psi (from 11psi before) zero knock Upped the boost to 29.8psi and made some pulls...HELLO wheel spin in 4th and that was with temps around 56* this afternoon...its a MONSTER !!! I giggled outloud honestly after I made a 45-140ish pull, it was just stupid. Spun in 3rd at spool, gripped around 5500, shifted at 6300 or so, spooled back up spun to around 5100, grabbed and pulled to 6300 again like nothin... I couldnt spin at 446whp before (27.5psi), I should prob be around the 470whp mark or so.

Track is a go for tomorrow...we shall see. Going for broke (i.e. 30psi). Hopefully she holds together...

Yea weather is most of the factor, even tho I was seeing similar AFRs I had to add more gasoline to get them back to normal (11.6 or so) which basically dropped my effective octane a bit + the densor air means more power also leading to some more detonation.

At 25psi I didnt have much knock, 26-27psi is when I saw around 2*, and saw about 2.5* with 28psi. Now I have none with almost 30psi
