Default Installed LM-1 wideband today... need help with AFRs.

Long story short. I just finished installing it a little while ago and I have two questions..
1. Is the AFR in 1st and 2nd really lean???
In 3rd and 4th gear it seems to be running correctly. It starts of around 11-12:1 afr at like 3000-3500rpms and then quickly goes down to the low 10:1 afr to redline.
In 1st and 2nd it is like in the 14:1 AFR.
2. I have S2 and realized that the check engine light is on. If I didn't leave the old 2nd O2 sensor plugged into the connector can that cause the CEL?

yes removing either o2 sensor will cause a CEL. The comp doesn't see the sensor.

Thats what I figured. With S1 and S2 it doesn't really use the 2nd O2 sensor but will probably not like it to just be unplugged.

It still turns on the heater circuit if I remember correctly. And it still can sense the signal return for voltage. I don't think it cares what that voltage is just as long as it see's something reasonable.

Well I can tell you if you have just s2, 14.1 across the board is bad if your at w.o.t.
if your cruisin' thats fine. you should see something like 11:1 or lower with factory boost.

EDIT: I just looked at your mods..... what kinda boost are you runnin?

I've seen a couple of stage 2 cars go off the AF chart on the dyno~ less than 10:1 on the AF meter

Search and read up, then pm some of the people who have run into these problems and see what they found out would be a good idea

I got it figured out.
I guess I wasn't really watching the moniter right. It will go from 14:1 then like 12ish:1 when you first get on it then 10-11:1 afr in 1st and 2nd.
So it runs a tad leaner in 1st and 2nd do to the less load and lower egts.
