Default Hydra EMS=Car won't start...help!!!

Soooo, I have put alot of time and energy into building this damn thing and now I am stumped. I have a Hydra stand alone along with a host of mods(built motor, etc...), went to tune and the bolts came out of the crank main that hold the flywheel because the shop that did the work didn't use locktite like I told them to. Took the car back to fix the clutch and got it back with backfiring and then no cranking at all. I was told it was the factory ECU and immobilzer circuit. I then replaced that with a new one and the car cranks and runs fine.

Now to the fucked up part. The Hydra that used to work just fine kills everything when it is plugged in. So I thought it was the jumper harness, ordered a new one, still the same...dead. I then sent the Hydra to factory in Cali...they said box is fine on bench and in fact plugged it into the shops Mini Cooper and it cranked right up.

I am still sitting with the same problem of factory ECU runs, Hydra doesn't.

Besides the usual...get a stg 3, or try AEM, or blow it up...anyone have any input or help?

PLEASE????

Macsperformance (screen name on the forum) may know the Hydra or enough to help with this issue, you should contact Chris to see if theres any support or direction he could give you. He's in Texas to boot.....if anything he may be able to direct you to someone who could.

Good luck

Well, I'm going to give you the, keep talking to hydra to make sure it's the box. Although at this point, I'd bet it's something else. You said the box was good, so it's not the box, you have a new harness, not the problem either. So where does that leave you? Back to the immobilizer circuit. It's caused you problems in the past..perhaps it may be that again.

So for the standard part...buy an AEM, blow up the Hydra, and smile...HAHAH.

Chris, I think we have more likely seen each others postings on here.

Lol...the car still starts and runs on the factory setup. It's only when the Hydra is in play that the car won't crank.
