So i did a kPa conversion. My gauge says 179 181 at spike and comes to 135... Meanin im spiking 25.3 pounds of boost WTFF and fallin to 20psi..no wayy right?!?!? Ive had it for more then 2 years like this. My engine should of went kaboom a while ago no??
kPa is absolute pressure. So you have to subtract Barometric pressure from it. Barometric pressure varies on your altitude and weather. Here in central Il the baro swings from 14.2-14.7psi.
180kPa = 26.25psi - Baro~14.5psi = 11.75psi Boost,,,,,26.25-18psi of boost mean the Baro would have to equal 8psi which is impossible.
135kPa = 19.58psi - Baro~14.5psi = 5psi Boost
doesn't seem right to me. Does the guage or neo have a pressure sender or what?
If so, where do you have them mounted?
