What is "in check"? 10.5? 11.0? What is your A/F at WOT with dump closed?(do a 3rd gear pull) What is your A/F at WOT with dump open?
DOnt know since i cant really pay attention to the gauge and the road, but i can tell you they arent higher then 12.0 at redline. Also i did a 3rd gear pull today and no knock. However, during normal driving my knock in 5th gear at 50mph was holding at 1.5kr with 8 vac. Samething in first if i started to take off from a light knock would go up to .5 - 2.0.
what are you using to monitor knock with? Aeroforce gauge? If so what source? Knock Retard, LT Knock, ST Knock, Fuel Knock, etc? You should be on ST Knock.

When I said you were running leaner, I didn't nec mean you where too lean. What I ment is if you were already seeing say 3kr@5-6000 with 11.0 A/F (this could be any # 10-12 A/F) and then you open your dump which IS going to lean you out, prob .3-.5 A/F so now your 11.0 just changed to 11.3-11.5 A/F your kr will increase.
Same thing happened to me when I was stage 2 no toys and bolt ons. I dont think it has to do with his afr. I saw 10's with it opened or closed. Took it off and sold it. It was not catted.

I am using a scan gauge and watchin knock retard. I didnt know there are other ways to watch knock with it.......how do you switch between them?

But that knock with the cutout closed is not consistant. One pull i could get no knock and while normal driving i can see .5-2kr. I understand what you are saying though. Shouldnt 11.3 AFR be safe though. I know when i was runnin the AFRs in the 10s it was the same way.

Yeah what the hell. I dont think changing the AFR .3-.5 is gogin to cause 6 counts of KR
