Default emanage removal

I recently bought a 05 that has an Emanage installed. I tried searching but came up empty. How do I safely remove the unit? Where is it tied into?

Is anything cut when you install it or is it spliced in? What I don't want is to unplug it and cripple the car. The car is running a big turbo and 750cc injectors and the plan is to run a DSP with 3bar sensors and the appropriate tune.

any help would be appreciated.

I have the same situation. I have a built motor, big head, agp50, injectors, etc, etc. I want something that is still supported or more reliable.

I went ahead and started removing the unit today. Whoever installed the unit did a very good job. They split the insulation and soldered all the connections. Then they taped up all the looms and it looked like a factory install.

I pulled off the three connectors off of the ecu. I used a razor and cut the tape. I pulled all the wires out of the loom and cut the emanage wires where they tied into the harness wires. All the wires except one are spliced in. One wire on the harness is actually cut and each end is soldered into a emanage wire.

The wire on the harness is green with a red tracer.

I did not have time to completely remove it but I think I got most of the work out of the way. I still need to get rid of the tach adapter and its associated wiring.

Make sure you have the right stuff before you pull your units off. The emanage is still used and is still reliable.
You edit it yourself. Can't get much better than that.
