The wires in the plug are very flimsy and are probably like 32 GA wires. Mine are all jacked up and I figured I'd draw up a schematic to show how to rewire them properly

STICKY! NEEDS TO BE STICKIED!
Some of us don't grab it by the plug, or our finger slips off the plug, and catches the larger part, causing the wire to pull out of the plug!
Yeah after seeing how flimsy the wires are I ALWAYS ALWAYS pull by the plug. I've actually whipped out my glue gun and applied some glue to the back of the wires so it'll stick.

lol I could of used this 2 months ago. My wires came out of the plugs and I ended up buying another used dtec because I had know idea how to fix it. Now maybe I can fix the extra I have sitting around.
i just bought a used broken dtec. trying to get it to work but I am kind of confused. is this with wires going straight into gba. with allinement notch facing down. or am i looking at the plug itself. where are you getting replacement plug from. I got a gba two, two player link cable. I cut one open to look at color code.

You're looking at it from a birds eye view. I don't have my GBA right now but I believe that makes it so the notch if facing down.
That isnt the correct color code as I did that too.
quick question: is the nintendo DS compatible with the DTEC? i have heard some say that it isnt, but i havent heard an explanation as to why it wouldnt work. anyone know for sure if it will or not? thanks alot!

this is probably the wrong thread to post in but here goes, my DTEC stop loading on my GBA, i dont know what the hell is going on it was working fine one day and the next its stuck on the screen that says
Screen that says what? Try unplugging the power wires to the d-tec and letting it sit for a few minutes and unplug the gba and after a few plug everything back in and try it again. That is what worked for me.
