Question

Install complete, not so bad and i gotta give props to this thread, lots of good info. Anyways I have done the initial setup and I was wondering if any experts out there got any input on whats next?

I know I have to get tuned now and I dont know squat about this thing yet, BUT are there any other things I can do before that. Are there popular NE points for the SRT and things like that?

Just looking for any useful hints or suggestions from those knowledgable with the SAFC.

My car runs fine at idle and under crusing load. Would I even have to bother altering the low settings at all?

Also if i'm hitting 18psi, what % should i use for high settings when using the map sensor as a reference? 40% seems kinda low to me. but if that's what most ppl are using, i'll start there...

You can install it one way or the other depending how you want to hook it up. The orange/dark blue wire is for the TPS and dark green/red wire is for the MAP. The suggested way to hook it up is with the MAP so that the AFC references the MAP instead of the TPS to switch between high and low settings. Its a better way of doing it.

Quick newb question...

Im fairly new to the whole AFC idea. Pretty much I have S0, soon to be S1, and stock injectors. Now if i install the AFC, where do i go from there? I know, its an incredibly stupid question but i just dont want the car to go boom. I may just take it to the girlfriends fathers shop and have someone there help me. But they are mainly DSM guys so they can help a little bit.

So what to do after its all wired in?

After you wire it in you need to do the initialize feature and then set the IN/OUT sensor to 10/10...after that make sure the low/high settings are set to 0% across the board till you get a wideband or dyno to see you air fuel ratios....then tune/adjust from there, but remember you can only remove fuel w/the SAFC II!!

As far as I know the wiring is the same for 03's and 04's...you should check out the first page with the wiring diagrams and if the shop is still confused either do it yourself or take it to another shop IMO

Thanks RoostBoost! So its driveable while on 0% across the board? Then pull fuel later. Again, the AFC is new to me. I should have larger injectors after this winter, so well see whats up! Thanks again!
