You can install it one way or the other depending how you want to hook it up. The orange/dark blue wire is for the TPS and dark green/red wire is for the MAP. The suggested way to hook it up is with the MAP so that the AFC references the MAP instead of the TPS to switch between high and low settings. Its a better way of doing it.

if i hook it up to the MAP will it still read the tps?

I have fixed the original post to put off the confusion happening about the TPS wire (AFC-SAFCII Gray Wire).

No. think about it. If the wire isn't hooked up, it has no idea what it is. Its ok, because using the MAP as a refrence is the better way to go.

pap you wouldnt wire the TPS wire at all? you would just wire the white wire from the afc to the other side of the green/red wire towards the map sensor. do you recommend a aftermarket map sensor or the stock one is fine

NO, the TPS wire (gray wire) is still used. Its just used to reference the MAP signal and not the TPS signal.

Stock MAP sensor is fine.

Wow,

Mine are way different. Do you have motor mount inserts or anything. Maybe my car is buzzing. I get a count of 105 at idle and goes to zero after 1500 rpm. My setup screen shows a value of 1043 at both 1500 and 3400 pms for the calibration?
