you need a tach driver to get a good rpm signal...then you do the knock sensor test with the low rpm and higher rpm...set it and then check to see if the x goes away when you access the knock sensor screen. I did it a couple of times and haven't seen the x at all, but it seems to be working...

Default Heads Up on info being added

Just a heads up, alwsays look at the first post to see added info on how to hook up your SAFC to the SRT-4.

There is great info on how to install it on the SRT4.

If you have any thing to add please notify Me (NIVO88T)
Again look here before posting in the performance section for your SAFC questions.

You can buy it here.

We have them in stock, and as far as I know, they have not been discontinued. Oh and you DO need this for hooking up an AFC.

Default New APEXi SAFC II on way/Need Info

Hey,

My SAFC is on the way from Ebay as we speak and for a great price of 265 BTW. Gotta get a Tach Adapter next. I've read over the install and it sounds fairly straight forward. And I'm sure it comes with instructions (hopefurry in ingrish) for set up but I was hoping for a general rundown of initial operation and collection of the data and adjustments from that data. How does the SAFC collect/report 02 voltage data or some other means of AFR info? My idle is crappy with the STG 2 injectors and thats my first goal is to even that out. Also how does everyone like the knock feature and at what AFR,02 voltage, or temp does the SAFC indicate knock. I'm really anxious as to the limit of the W/I and making more safe(?) power

Thanks,

The only wire that will need to be cut is the MAP signal wire. The rest of the wires just tap.

I'm pretty sure that the SAFC II reads teh map signal/voltage and adjusts fuel based on teh signals it gets from teh map sensor and alters it before it gets to the ecu...you must set the SAFC II to read PRESSURE in the settings menu...

You will not be able to get a good signal from any of the wires. You need the tach adapter.
