Could anyone around Columbia, SC do this for me? I've been thinking about this mod for awhile and thinkin it might be good. Got some questions, though.
1. If I'm planning on gettin the S2 in a little while, will it do anything?
2. If I did the return line/fuel pump, how do I get the ecu to recognize it can run higher fuel pressure?
3. If I can only cut fuel pressure w/ the S-AFC II, how can I raise it? I understand how this can help w/ tuning a fuel system for optimal performance, but there is no need to turn it down until I am capable of running higher pressure than stock.

PAP's SAFC Install How-To

I should really put this in the how to section - PAP

Heres how to wire it up:

SAFC
Your going to need a tach driver to get a good rpm signal.

POWER- Redwire (afc)---pin 11 on module C1 (dark blue/red wire)

RPM- Green wire (afc)---tach driver (should be the gray wire)

GROUND- Brown wire & Black wire (afc)---pin 18 on module C1 (black/tan wire) the brown wire should be T'd closer to the PCM.

THROTTLE POSITION SIGNAL- Gray wire (acf)---pin 21 on module C2 (orange/dark blue wire)

MAP SIGNAL- yellow white wire output signal (afc)---pin 23 on module c2 leading to PCM (dark green/red wire)
white wire input signal (afc)---pin 23 on module c2 coming from motor (dark green/red wire)

The C1 module is the bottom connector going to PCM
The C2 module is the middle connector going to PCM

I would also recomend using the MAP signal as a reference in lieu of the throttle position sensor. So, the boost tells the AFC when to go into the high and low setting. Just be sure to refrence the signal before you modify it.

PAP

Man, ive been searching for a while for an answer of the SAFC install... but, there a problem that i just recently heard... maybe anyone can help... to my understanding, i was told that i needed to use a wideband O2 for proper usage of the SAFC. also, an A/F guage. are these statements true?

Thnx, Bro

your tuning should be done on a dyno to get your Air Fuel Ratio good. or buy a wideband gauge/controller to do your own tuning.

We do sell Wideband kits.

I had been thinking about this question for a while, and maybe it will help others out.

At what point should the SAFCII be used? Should there be a platform of other mods (ie S1 or 2, etc.) first? Or is is pretty much not needed until a larger turbo setup?

I have been considering buying one, but have been holding off on it because I think money could be better spent elsewhere until I go large turbo.

I wouldn't worry about the SAFCII until you go w/a bigger turbo or nitrous....I'd recommend getting S1/2 or even better a greddy profec b EBC as the low boost and high boost settings are invaluable for gaining the much needed traction in 1st and 2nd gears which our cars lack...IMO of course!

I just want to make sure....with bigger injectors/fuel pump, and/or return line I won't need a map clamp to run 20+ psi of boost??

NIVO did you have an adapter or something for a return line that we would need??
Thanks!!

settings depend on what mods you have done to your car...our cars run rich till about 18lbs...I've had every mod possible on the stock turbo, w/no fuel management and was at a pretty good A/F mixture of 12.2-12.5:1 on the dyno.

Default Knock sensor on SAFC

does anybody know How to tell if the knock sensor is working on the SAFC, I hooked the wire up like its suppose to, or do I need the tach adapter so it would work with the RPM signal???
