Default Anyone heard of the vent line modification?

Here's a conversation I had with a vendor about my problem and was curious if anyone has heard of this mod?

Quote:
I've had this AEM EMS program up and running on the Srt-4 for a little while now, and all of a sudden my car won't even idle. If you let it sit for a long period of time (over a couple days) without starting the engine, it's gets ROUGH. It didn't used to be like this, and now starting a few days ago, when I start it up it just dies.

It cranks over, starts up fine, but after 5-10 seconds it starts to get up into the 18+A/F's and then idle drops like a rock to about 400 and wants to die. It will eventually try to re-adjust itself and idl will jump to 1000 and A/F's where I want them, at 15:1.

Now I've been trying to diagnose the problem, battery voltage is great before and after start-up, fuel pump voltage is great, all injectors are spraying. I just dunno. I've tried my map plus the one AEM supplies with the EMS. I'm starting to get to the point where I want to spend the money to get it tuned but now I cannot even drive to a tuner until this is fixed. Any ideas?

Hello,

Have you done the vent line modification from the purge solenoid?

It sounds as though this may be your problem, as this is a common occurrence with the SRT AEM cars.

If you have not rerouted the purge line let me know and I will tell you how to do it.

thank you

that line only effects the ems cars right after you fill the gas tank......never any other time......ems does not control the evap......you can make it but it runs rough for 30 seconds and thats it......if its a prob just pull the line off right behind the turbo on the firewall and cap it.......its as simple as that
