Im running a quicktime down pipe and the shop that installed it for the guy that owned it for me i think (key word think) that since my wideband is reading 15.7 at idle and will not drop much when under full boost. (i have a boost controller w/ map clamp and wastegate) that the shop might have screwed it up. I looked under the car yesterday and saw my wideband was in the 2nd O2 port and i found the cars 2nd O2 wire tied to the crossmember... need help!
Ok i was talking to some ppl and they said my 2nd 02 sensor need to be after the cat. well how it is currently set up is the 1st O2 is int he 3"O2 House and then about 16 to 18" down my Quicktime Electric cutout w/ high flow cat is where the sensor is for the wideband. I just had a shop weld on a new bung behind the High-Flow cat (its welded onto the stock catback pipe) and have not connected it yet but im trying to figure out why my car runs soooo rich even at idle! so if i extend the wires and put the O2 Sensor back in its place will everything be corrected?
if your wideband is after your cutout you will not get accurate readings with the cutout open. Plug in all of your sensors, close the cutout, and reset the pcm. If it's still showing a 15.7 at idle(btw, this is a lean condition) take it to a shop and verify your wbo2 is reading correctly.
I have a Quicktime Down Pipe W/Cutout and High Flow Cat. it only has one bung on the pipe thats before the cutout. I have the 1st O2 in the 3" Houseing where the 1st one should be. then i believe the bung thats on the down pipe is where my wideband O2 is connected at. well i went and had a bung welded on after my car and extended the wires and put the cars other
O2 sensor back in. rest everything and im still reading high 14's.. Anyone know a good shop i could take it to in the houston area? im running out of ideas and cant figure out why im so out of wack now.
Okay, your earlier post made it sound like your wbo2 was after the cutout. Sorry I didn't understand what you were saying. You said you reset the computer and it's still reading high 14's, but you didn't say when you are seeing this. If it's at idle, that's where it should be. If it's during WOT, check your upstream o2 for proper operation and your fuel pressure to make sure you have enough fuel. Good luck.
