Bought my car used. It has all the 3 bar sensors and Stage 2 injectors (checked the part numbers on the injectors). However, there is no "readable" labels on the ECM. What Stage ECM do I have? As the heading says, I get no CEL's and revs cut out at 6250rpm. I always assumed that it was a Stage 2, but now I'm guessing its a Stage 1. The car has a 50 trim set-up with a 3" TBE and I have been boosting up to 20 psi on occasion. Am I correct?
Thanks, goats srt, but I believe that only Stage 2 & 3 up the rev cut-off to 6500. That was the first thing that started me thinking - mine didn't do that. Oops, dansrt4 beat me to it! So, Stage 1, then? Stage 0 should throw codes with my set up, I think.
That's what I am thinking. I forgot to state that there is a "sticker" on it with a hand printed number that matches my vin. So, it probably is a "staged" computer and sounds like Stage 1.
Now, I have another question which I will post separately. Thanks.
It's guaranteed you've got S1 with that sticker you describe and your 6250 rev limit. That sticker will say what stage it is, but that part is usually hidden under the black mounting bracket. You also definately have stock MAP/TIP sensors. If you're running S2 injectors, I'd bet your car is running really rich most of the time, unless you've got a fuel controller you don't have listed.
I believe that the 3 bar sensors are for Stage 2 and 3 only.
The WB shows stoich at idle/cruise, and my AFR's are in the tens (just like Mopar intended, apparently) and I get great gas mileage, so??? The car is still a bit of a mystery to me....
I have an SAFC2 but it is zeroed out right now, but that's a story for another thread. Right now, it runs great on the set up that I have - as far as I can tell, but I am not the brightest star in the sky if you know what I mean...
