I bet that silicone hose is collapsing just like it did on the K&N CAI. I changed mines to a JMB and my issues went away.

You'd have to watch it while it's on the dyno. Watch to see if any part collapses. As the car gets warmer, it should collapse easier. I know a guy who had the K&N on his S3 car and the silicone coupler would collapse. It definetly affected his HP and the way the car ran.
