if it would have been last summer, then it could have been me, but i have been in socal since october. i may try and drive up in july to visit the fam and and friends. would be cool to see some mt srt's meet up.

if you want to have some fun, there are a couple good spots in missoula and bozeman to run the canyons. the only bad thing is that when the fast and furious 3 comes out next month, you know there are gonna be a bunch of average retards trying to drift in a camry or accord. canyons won't be too safe after that cause of traffic. i can't remember the name of the road in missoula, but it is just a little south of the university and has some nice corners, but not too long.

bozeman has a couple spots, but you'll have to ask around for directions.

I think I rode in this car back in mid-Jan. when it was forsale at Lithia of Great Falls. Did it have close to 18,000 miles on it, stock boost gauge not hooked up and was it an 04'? The salesman would not even let me drive but I remember that car pulled very hard!! He claimed that someone test drove the STI that was forsale there and spun it around on highway 87 going about 80mph right into the ditch on the other side of the highway . So after that incident they would not let anyone test drive the SRT-4 or the STI. I ended up not buying it because I got a brand new one at Dave Smith's for about the same price.

i think it probably better you went with the new one. i don't think chris with the bule one babied his clutch and the srt clutches are known to go out rather fast on hard driving. your dealership story sounds kinda funny, but really, who would buy a car if you can't even test drive the damn thing. just goes to show you that one idiot screws things up for the rest.

good luck with the car and have fun up in those montana roads for me, i kinda miss them, but socal has some nice ones as well.

nick, let me know how your car does at the next autox (this weekend right?). i think brent scott should be out there with his wrx. if you can tell coby hi for me (black srt-4 chris).

Hey, if you guys are up for autocross, you should check out some of the local clubs. I am tired of being the only srt-4 at the events. The bozeman site is www.swmtscca.org , the great falls club is www.mtscca.com , the billiings site is www.yellowstonescca.com , and the missoula site is www.bigskyregion.org .

I hope to see some of you out.

It sure is white, and yes it was a short course. The lot just has very limited space. As for helena, I have run 5 events there this year, so far. There are more scheduled. Russ' elise is a pretty cool car, I knew they were small, but I didn't think they were that small.

have you done much to your acr?

I've just done the basics, to push the stock rules. Pt front bar, and I put koni inserts in the rear. The tockico's just didn't have enough valving. Then I just had the vehicle competition aligned. Oh, and last but not least, kumho v710's.

nice, you ever consider porting and clipping your stock turbo? i am thinking of buying a stocker and having it ported and clipped for mine. this one guy had it done and went from the stock 230hp to 260whp, decreased the turbo lag, and lowered underhood temps.

are you gonna go with a bigger rear sway? i noticed a huge difference in handling with the hotchkis set and a rear strut tower. the car has less understeer and becomes more predictable around corners. i want to get motor mounts soon since a couple guys said it actually helps make the front end a little more stable in corners.

i got to get my rear bumper fixed first though, canyon walls aren't too forgiving.

I'm not going to do anything more to the car for now. To stay in the stock class in SCCA, I can't do anything else. I can only swap the front bar, put in new struts(have to be of the same design as stock, i.e. no coilovers), change cat-back, wheels(but not size, the have to be 16x7), and tires. So no more mods for me.

cool, to stay in the stock class you really have to plan out more what you do to your car. that takes patience and thinking, so i respect that. good luck with the rest of the summer events.

coby gonna do anything to his sti?
