When i took my car to the dodge dealer they said that my valve cover gaket was leaking, and they wanted a crazy amount of money to fix it. Well i didnt find a How to thread on how to replace this but im wondering if it is the same one as this one i found on Neon Canada site.

1. Pull plug wires off the plugs

2. Loosen and take off the 4 10mm bolts holding the coil back on the valve cover

3. Disconnect the hose running to the pcv valve

3. Use a 8mm deep socket and take off the 9 valve cover bolts

4. Life the valve cover off

5. Take off the valve cover seal

6. Replace with the new one. Be sure not to stretch it!

7. Place orange silicon at proper points. Dont know where? use the old gasket for reference as there should be rimnance of silicone left on it.

8. Follow steps in reverse. tighten/torque valve cover bolts to.....
a) Tighten all bolts to 4.5 N·m (40 in. lbs.).
(b) Tighten all bolts to 9.0 N·m (80 in. lbs.).
(c) Tighten all bolts to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.).

$17.00 for a valve cover gastest and a 5min job.

there is also 4 round gaskets that go around the spark plug area, but thats usually where they spring a leak.

there is a pattern on how to tighten down. Ill see if my comp will let me upload pic for ya.
