I took the car to Buhler Dodge in Eatontown, which is where i bought the damn thing. I am in Central Jersey but I go to North Jersey alot. I was gona write down a description of my problems but I'll just copy and past this desc from your previous post cuz thats exactly whats happening to me.

I would really appreciate your help with this and actually I looked at your previous post and your description of your problem is the same as mine, word for word. I will go thourgh the DYI fix stuff today or tomorrow hopefully but I did as you suggested and wiggled the wires and already it feels better. The misfires are gone and the car accelerates smoothly. Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes and if I get a chance I'd like to scan and post the problem description and price tag those jerks gave me, its laughable.

Thanks for your help, I feel better already.

i dont think its the sensor i think its the wires, and on top of that i dont think a dealership is gonna just fix the wire they might just have to put a whole new engine harness, it sucks man. I still have to talkt o some guy in compass dodge , i cant have my car in a shop more then a day

You can check the TPS yourself with a multimeter and find if the TPS is bad.

However, I recommend that they change out the entire harness since the new one has corrected the junction connection.

I went and changed the wiring out myself with 18-gauge wire using the same ends. After seeing the 18-gauge wire broke again.

I have the latest engine harness in the garage and noticed some differences. LOL

Thanks to this board...

I noticed on aircraft that if you put like tape around the connecter and the actually wires will keep it from breaking or fraying inside the isulation. Aircraft may be different but its basiclly the same we just use cannon plugs instead of connecters. All u want to do is try and keep the wire as straight as possible. Very nice pics and guidelines! Goodjob

Well my dealership installed my new TPS and did nothing else, they gave me my car and it almost did not start and my CEL is still on...TPS code. They said now they will not fix the wires under my warranty because of my modifications but theres is nothing at all wrong with my mods in conjunction with the throttle body and TPS. They said they will charge me 85 dollars an hour to change the wires if he "can" he says.
Im so pissed and I will recommend to you all to not go to the IRA Dodge in Lowell Mass.

Default About the part 5013998AA

Same TPS problem with mine. Happened yesterday. I bought the TPs harness part 5013998AA but need to be clarified on the procedure. You are saying that I will NOT use the black connecter that came with the harness right? If, not, I just bought a bag of wires with connecters on the ends.

Can someone please explain.

i would like to help you but i have no clue, they said it was the ground wire that was halfway broken due to the fact that it makes movement. They did a gangster way and made extra wires and just solder up the wires for me . The dealer did it in 15 mins, i was the 4th person going in for that thing too, i was happy tho cuz i got it done fast and i didnt pay one cent .
