I just called my dealer and he tried to tell me there would be a 95 dollar diagnostic charge plus any misc. parts they might need like wires because they arent covered under warranty. He insisted he was right till I told him ive had the car two months and its got 2300 mi on it and he was like oh, well then I guess its under factory warranty. but this got me thinking, if the extended warranty a joke? Does it cover diagnostic tests? They'll claim they have to do that everytime something goes wrong, if after 36k miles comes up, why the heck would I need my warranty (that I paid 1360 for) if they are just gonna charge me 95 bucks plus deductible every time a fuse goes out? thoughts?
Just picked my car up today from the shop. Took an extra week cause they didnt have the part in stock and ordered it. On my ride back to work everything seemed nice and smooth, no more rough idle! They just replaced the tps wires and I do believe that did the trick. Will be paying very close attention over the next few days though to ensure its all good! This thread was quite valuable, thanks to those who contributed!
This post is great. My car started doing this last night. Only 4.8xxx miles on it. Went out this morning and wiggled the wires, car almost stalled. Also, my check engine light is now on. I thought it might have had something to do with the Mopar BOV. But thanks to this thread I now know the problem. I printed the first post and will take the car and printout to the dealership after work. Thanks
Update dealer is going to replace the whole wiring dealing with the TPS. Only thing that sucks is they didnt have it at the dealer so they had to order it. Hopefully I will get the car back tomorrow. Total spent ZERO. On a funny note the guy checking in the car locked my key in the car with it running.
We can first thank SRT Engineer Ethan for the information that he supplied in fixing this problem and others here that contributed there efforts in helping others.
I have gone through 5 tps sensors and have replaced all the wiring twice. I have also gone through 3 PCM's , stock, stage 1,2,. I still have the same problem. Anyone have any clue on how to fix this? I have also had problems with my headlights going on and off and my interior lights flashing on at random. One time when I put a meter on my TPS wiring my headlights flashed my interior lights came on and my door chime went off. I am not kidding.... I have gone through 2 engine wiring harnesses. Anyone have a clue of what I should try next??????????????? HELP!!

Sorry to say it but it does happen. I went through three sensors until I found the culprit next to the ECU unit (wire coming from the sensor). I could have had them buy back the car but it goes to show, that this car will be hard to replace as a daily driver.
