Default need help with fan switch mod plz read??

ok well i have tried both ways to do the fan switch mod with the relay and the way to connect it to the blue/pink wire in the ecu harness and what happens is when i hook the ground and then hook the other wire to the relay or blue/pink which ever i do and i turn the switch on i can hear the relay making a ticking noise and thats it what could be wrong.help plz

which lead on the relay are you connecting it to? If you're standing on the drivers side the relay that's closest to you pull that one out and then stick a wire in the slot that's closest to you. then push the relay back in. make sure you have a solid ground on the other lead of your switch. that should do it.

yah man thats exactly how i am doing it!this shouldn't be this hard its hooking up too wires?should the toggle light switch come on when i flip it to on?but all its doing when i turn it on is the relay is making a click noise and i have the ignition turn twice forward.i even tried it with the ecu wires and it does the same thing the relay makes a clicking noise?

i dont know if u already fixed ur problem...but thought id give you my 2 cents. we had the same problem on my buddys 03..after hours of trying both ways we held the switch on for more than 3 seconds...slowly heared the fan begin to spin and than bam! it came on. so try & wait with it on and see if that works.
