- Uses the factory switch
- Fogs can be turned on any time ignition is on, or left switched on so they work like DRLs
- Fogs stay on when the high beams are on
- Dash indicator light works!
Small secret for you. The same multi function switch, and I do mean
identical, is available as a part number for the Jeep Liberty, which already
has that grey ring mod done. So basically, you would just bolt that in,
and do your re-wiring, and it should work. I am going to do this soon, and
will use your wiring instructions. THANKS!!!

I had heard about the Jeep switch, but as far as I know no one has
actually tried it. If it works out, let me know the part number,
and I will add it to the writeup (with props, of course).
This would save a huge amount of time, as "fixing" the switch
is the worst part of this mod.
Two comments:
1.Waste of good time, with risk of damage.
2. Wrong

Actually, cali, I did look at your method, but I didn't care for it because
it required drilling a hole and using another switch.
Funny that you should say "Waste of good time, with risk of damage",
when it's each person's decision what constitutes use or waste of
their time, and just about *any* mod risks damage. You drilled a hole
in your dashboard! That guarantees damage!
Now that I have another look at it, though, I would be concerned
that you are overdrawing Fuse 15, which is the black wire that your
method taps. This wire is only 18ga, where the original fog light
wire is 14ga. Fuse 15 runs *all* the external lighting, and the fog
lights alone draw 2/3 of the power on that line. I think this is a mistake.
You could use the black wire to trip a relay, which would be ideal.
In any case, I think the two mods address different audiences.
We'll let them decide what they want.
i was going to ask if anyone has done this. I remember when i had my stealth people were doing the snake eye mod when you could have the fog lights on without the headlights. Looks cool, but too much work

I did actual current draw measurments, and everythig is all kosher as far as current draw goes.
15 more days to go and it will be the one year anniversary....no blown fuses
BTW: There was some guy...solodogg I think? That called my shit ricey 1 year ago...he claimed a Jeep Stalk would be a direct swap in @ $75. To this day no one has verified if it will work.......hehe

I'm sure it would. It's acting like a switch instead of ghetto rigging it to work.
